Our focus on work safety as a best practice is top of mind for me as I lead our company to open up commercial properties, educational institutions, and health centers. Our challenge is not only to open up these facilities but to keep them safe, and staying open. We are providing guidance to our clients with OSHA protocols, CDC and EPA guidance as we implement our solutions.

What keeps me up at night is the personal responsibility I feel to keep our employees safe. Keeping our employees safe in the wake of a health crisis is on my mind constantly. Our employees are on the front lines, going into facilities to clean and disinfect to protect public health, sometimes without adequate protection provided by the facility or information about what they are facing. It is my hope that would change soon. Facilities must embrace and adopt technical cleaning procedures to keep workers and customers safe. This is where our value and expertise come in. We are partnering with our clients to offer guidance on safety protocols. Our in-dept guidance and best practices for achieving a higher level of clean include:

  • Tips for creating protocols to ensure high cleaning standards.
  • Evaluating workers risks and potential hazards.
  • Identifying safe products and PPE for specific cleaning processes.
  • Making facilities safe for workers.
  • Utilizing safe and sustainable cleaning products
  • Cleaning and disinfecting hard floors regularly.
  • Resources for implementing blood borne pathogen processes and policies.

Reducing the risk of exposure to COVID-19 by cleaning and disinfecting is an important part of reopening public spaces and requires careful planning. In helping our clients to develop their plans, we evaluate their space to determine what kinds of surfaces and materials make up that area. Frequently touched surfaces and objects like light switches and doorknobs will need to be cleaned, and then disinfected to further reduce the risk of germs.

Transcend Facility Management Company is a trusted partner on the front lines helping our clients navigate this new reality. We guard against health risk to facilities where people live, eat, work, learn, worship, and recuperate by employing state of the art resources to properly clean and disinfect.
